Handmade ceramic RAKU

At around 1500 in Japan, budist monks Jen discoverd a technique of ceramics. The technique was named "RAKU" from the name of the monk who discovererd it.In Japanese RAKU means happiness,joy,simplicity.The ceramics are burned in a temperature of 900 degrees Celcium and placedin sawdust of white wood where the reductionis takes place.This process gives particular beauty and uniqueness to the ceramics enriching them with different colors.
